Tile roofs are cleaned with a biodegradable solution and a low pressure rinse. The solution does the work, not the pressure.
High pressure on tile cracks it and dislodges sealant, which turns a cleaning job into a repair job.

Usually worth pairing
Power washing is often done alongside painting or other exterior upgrades while access equipment is already set up.
Cleaning before painting is not optional anyway, since paint over mildew fails early, so combining the two saves a second equipment setup and gives the paint a surface it can actually bond to.
Timing matters too. Washing a tile roof before an inspection or a sale makes the real condition of the tiles readable, which is difficult under a layer of algae.
